and the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) are to build an additional

British Airways places a firm order for five Aerospatiale/British Aircraft
Corporation Concorde aircraft.

The Minister for Aerospace announces that British Airways has been authorised
to purchase six Lockheed L1011 Tristars, with an option for an additional
six.

Dyce Airport in Aberdeen opens a new passenger handling complex, with
a hangar to accommodate four Sikorsky S61N helicopters, to service North
sea oil rig facilities.
