The British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) carries out its first
operation on the North Atlantic Return Ferry service, using a Consolidated
Liberator I provided by Royal Air Force Ferry Command.

The British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) begins a service to Cairo.
The first flight is operated by a Short C-Class flying boat Clare (G-AFCZ)
and routed through Lisbon, Gibraltar and Malta.
