C.W. Scott makes a solo flight from Lympne in Kent to Darwin in Australia, using a de Havilland Moth.

Sir Alan Cobham, with a crew of five, makes a round trip to the Belgian Congo, flying a Short Valetta on the 19,800 kilometre (12,300 mile) flight from Rochester.

28 July - 6 August
Amy Johnson sets an England to Japan record in a de Havilland DH 80A Puss Moth with Jack Humphreys. She arrives in Tokyo after 9 days.

27 October - 7 December
Squadron Leader H.J.L. Hinkler makes a solo flight from New York to London, flying via Central America and the South Atlantic in a de Havilland Puss Moth.
